Sydney Australia, the world's most beautiful harbour

There is much to do in Sydney, but time spent exploring the harbours edge around the Sydney CBD is a must. We also recommend taking a ride out to Manly on the Ferry a train out to Bondi beach and a trip up to the entrance of Broken bay in Sydney's north to extract the most out of your time in Sydney,

The stroll around the CBD foreshore is a welcome day. Our stroll begins in the beautiful Hyde Park located in Central Sydney. Both Museum and St James metro stations will provide easy access to the park if you are coming from outside the CBD. Make your way across the park via way of the wonderful ANZAC war memorial and Pool of Reflection, and up through the beautiful Sandringham Gardens.

At the north eastern end of the park you will find the remarkable St Mary's Catherderal, St James Church and the Hyde Park Barracks. All were conducted in the early 1800s ands played a  unique role in Australia's modern history. We then head along Art Gallery Road past the Art Gallery of New South Wales and into the Royal Botanic Gardens.

Take time to roam around the gardens, making sure you explore the Calyx, Rose and Garden Pavillion and the Mrs Macquaries Point. At the bottom of the Botanical Gardens you will find the iconic Sydney Opera House.

The "Sydney Opera House stands by itself as one of the indisputable masterpieces of human creativity, not only in the 20th century but in the history of humankind” (International Council Report on Monuments and Sites to the World Heritage Committee).

Leaving the Opera House we stroll around the circular quay waterfront home to Sydney's amazing ferry terminal and make our way into the hear of Sydney's historical Rocks area. The Rocks is a neighbourhood of historic laneways in the shadow of Sydney Harbour Bridge. Locals and tourists mingle at the open-air Rocks Markets, purchasing street food and handmade fashions. The area has some of Sydney’s oldest pubs and many of the upscale restaurants have harbour views. The Museum of Contemporary Art offers local and international exhibits.
